GSARC Winter Field Day

General News
Winter Field Day 2019
LOCATION:   American Red Cross EOC
Market Common
3531 Pampas Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
DATE: Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2019
 TIME: 1400 EST – 1900 EST
The Grand Strand Amateur Radio Club will operate from inside the Red Cross building as we did last year.  We will meet after breakfast for set up; location and times to be chosen later.

George Baker N4BAK has the N3FJP WFD logging program available; if you want to install it on your computer, just arrive a little early.
Paper logs are also acceptable but you will need to bring your own supplies.

Our Category will be Indoor while our Class will be determined by the number of active transmitters.
For example-if we have 4 active transmitters
our Exchange would be:
K4XXX this is W4GS, we are Four India, Sierra Charlie
CW would be K4YM de W4GS 4I SC TU.
Use this great opportunity to try out your new portable antennas. Go Kits or other Christmas gifts.  Bring them out and have some fun!  Remember, there are few natural supports for antennas so bring your own fishing pole masts/supports or use verticals.
This is also a B.Y.O.E.
(Bring Your Own Equipment) event.

Headphones will prove handy to combat the noise level produced by nearby multiple stations.
Questions can be directed to Alton Miller NE4EA ssbal@twc.com
